Hot New Single – Pi JACOBS

Travianna Records is pleased to release “Rearview,” the new single from Los Angeles-based roots rocker, Pi Jacobs. With it comes Pi’s all new music video for the same track. American Songwriter Magazine recently debuted the video. Read the article here.

“Rearview” is the first track off Pi’s forthcoming album, Two Truths and a Lie. It’sthe soulful story of a woman running away from her past. The entire project – full of incredible original music all written by Jacobs – is expected on February 21st.

Two Truths and a Lie features the talents of:
Pi Jacobs on guitar and lead vocals, Butch Norton on drums, Adam Hall with Dobro, banjo and backing vocals, Zack Hall on upright bass and backing vocals, Jes HudakKel Pritchard and Ben Fordham with backing vocals, and Carl Byron on keyboard.

REARVIEW

The album was produced by Pi Jacobs and Mark Hodges and was recorded at New Monkey Studios by Gregory Cortez, Mountain Fever Studios by Mark Hodges, and The Tuna Ranch by Pi Jacobs.

Two Truths and a Lie was mixed by Dexter Simmons known for his work with Michael Jackson and many other stars.

Pi will be touring nationally starting next week at Folk Alliance in New Orleans on January 24th , then to her album release show at Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles on February 8th. She will continue to tour on the west coast,  then to New York City, the east coast, and in Europe later this year. 

The Wildmans : Rock Of Ages

We’re so proud to be working with them, and everyone is thrilled with what came out of the August studio sessions that just gave birth to a great project.

The young Neo-traditional string band, The Wildmans come from the hills of Floyd, Virginia, in the heart of the Appalachian mountain music tradition. From campsite jamming at festivals and fiddler’s conventions and classical music education comes the foundation for musical exploration that sets this group apart, taking the audience on a musical journey that reflects the growth and passion of these talented young musician

Multi-Instrumentalist Sean Newman on upright bass and vocals
The group has appeared on stages large and small, performing in festivals such as Red Wing Roots, Chantilly Farm’s Bluegrass and BBQ festival, Grey Fox Bluegrass, Floyd Fest, and The Steep Canyon Rangers’ Mountain Song Festival. They also regularly represent young talent along the Crooked Road in regional fiddler’s conventions. Having shared the stage with talents such as Bela Fleck, The Steep Canyon Rangers, The Steel Wheels, Danny Knicely, Sammy Shelor, Sierra Hull, Billy Strings, and more., these young musicians are making their way in the American stringband scene.
